What we do
At Women Shine, we believe in the power of education, skills, and community to transform lives. Our programs are designed to uplift women, girls, support orphans, and include people with disabilities, ensuring that no one is left behind.

Key Program Areas:
- Skills Training & Capacity Building: We provide hands-on training in tailoring, hairdressing, makeup, soap making, baking, beadwork, agriculture, and more. We also equip participants with digital literacy and financial management skills to prepare them for today’s world.
- Economic Empowerment & Entrepreneurship: We help women and youth build small businesses through start-up kits, mentorship, and savings groups (VSLAs). Our programs also connect them with local markets, enabling them to sell their products and grow sustainable enterprises.
- Girls & Orphan Support: We ensure that vulnerable girls have access to education, safety, and care. From school fees and uniforms to after-school tutoring, creative play, and counseling, we give girls the opportunity to learn, grow, and dream.
- Sexual & Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR): We promote the health, dignity, and rights of women, girls, youth, and persons with disabilities by providing inclusive education on sexual and reproductive health, menstrual hygiene, family planning, and healthy relationships. Through safe spaces, community outreach, and partnerships with local health providers, we ensure access to accurate information, supportive services, and advocacy initiatives that empower individuals to make informed choices and live healthy lives.
- Disability Inclusion Initiatives: We champion the rights and dignity of persons with disabilities by offering inclusive training, accessibility support, and peer mentoring. Our advocacy campaigns raise awareness and help break down barriers to full participation in society.
- Psychosocial Support & Mental Health: We create safe spaces for healing and hope. Through counseling, peer support groups, storytelling, and art therapy, we help women, children, and persons with disabilities overcome trauma and build resilience.
- Advocacy & Awareness: We lead campaigns and community dialogues on gender-based violence, women’s rights, child protection, and disability inclusion. By involving youth and grassroots voices, we ensure the whole community is part of the movement for change.
- Health & Wellness: We promote healthier living through menstrual hygiene education, nutrition workshops, and home gardening initiatives. Our programs also provide disability-inclusive health sessions, ensuring that vital information is accessible to all.
Our main goals
Together, these stories remind us: when women, girls and persons with disabilities are given a chance, they shine — and the whole community shines with them.
